Volunteer English teachers required at the Lekshey Ling Institute School. No teaching experience is necessary, but an open heart, open mind, patience and flexibility is required. In return you will receive a warm welcome and much gratitude from the students here.
Each year Lekshey Ling Inistitute offers 25 places to children who come from remote mountain villages, where education is not available. In addition to English, students are taught Maths, Science, Health and Social Studies. Also they learn Tibetan, Nepali and Buddhist teachings.
The Lekshey Ling Institute School is part of a Buddhist community situated in Swoyambu, Kathmandu and is a recognized government school and a registered charity (No). Certificates are awarded to students upon passing their exams.
This is also a great opportunity to be part of a Buddhist community.
Minimum age 18
We would request that the minimum stay is 3 weeks and you can stay up to 5 months.
3 – 8 weeks $100 per week
9- 20 weeks $75.00 per week
This includes accommodation, food, airport pick up and drop off
